PRESS RELEASE - Invest Saint Lucia has made a significant contribution to the National Community Foundation (NCF) for the second consecutive year.
As part of its community outreach activities, Invest Saint Lucia pledged the $5000 donation, which is intended to assist disadvantaged students in the area of education.
Invest Saint Lucia takes seriously its corporate social responsibility and views this initiative as one of the ways in which it is able to contribute to the future productivity of Saint Lucia.
ISL’s annual donation is aimed at supplementing the NCF’s existing educational assistance program that helps provide much needed
financial support to students who have difficulty meeting the expenses associated with getting an education.
The NCF, through its Chairman Martin Weekes, has expressed its gratitude to ISL and says ‘it is only through continued corporate support that the Foundation is able to sustain its programs and achieve its mandate’.
The National Community Foundation, which is a non-profit organization, will stage the 11th edition of its annual telethon on 1st August 2014 at the Gaiety on Rodney Bay. This year the NCF is hoping to achieve its $250,000 target with the continued help and contributions of the public, who are invited to the fundraiser which will be headlined by Trinidadian artistes Baron and Sugar Aloes as well as Saint Lucian Calypsonian, Invader.
