PRESS RELEASE - A young mother and her family who tragically lost their home in a fire are receiving support from LIME.

A single mother of five from Riviere Mitan suffered a devastating blow when her house went up in flames two months ago. No one was hurt in the blaze but they lost practically all their belongings.

LIME is partnering with the Riviere Mitan Development Committee whose members hosted a fund-raising barbecue and dance at the Riviere Mitan United Centre to assist the family. In support of the cause, LIME has contributed an Alcatel C-Pop Android smartphone for a raffle to be held as part of the fund-raising activities.

“We’re delighted to be partnering with the Riviere Mitan Development Committee to assist this cause,” said LIME Corporate Communications Executive, Terry Finisterre. “The loss of one’s one home in such tragic circumstances is always regrettable and we do hope not only that the family can recover fully, but also that our assistance will go some way towards helping them get back on their feet.”

Esther Gaspard of the Riviere Mitan Committee expressed her gratitude for LIME’s assistance.

She said, “I’m really grateful for the support we’re receiving from LIME and on behalf of my family, I want to thank them very much. I also want to thank the Riviere Mitan Development Committee and all those who stood by us and continue to support us in this very difficult time. Whatever help we can get will always be deeply appreciated.”

Gapard went on to say, “We want to thank LIME for their support. We’re urging residents of Riviere Mitan and surrounding communities, and also the general public to please support this worthy cause and extend a helping hand in any other way they can to this family.”
