Darren Sammy was among those named as a goodwill ambassador
(SNO) – The government of Saint Lucia has named a number of citizens as the island’s brand and goodwill ambassadors.
The list was announced on Monday morning by Culture Minister, Fortuna Belrose at the pre-cabinet briefing.
Prime Minister Allen Chastanet pointed to the importance of recognizing outstanding Saint Lucians.
“It is important for us to continue to recognize outstanding Saint Lucians and make it possible for them to access opportunities for the growth and development of themselves and by extension our island,” he said. “I congratulate the Saint Lucians who have been named Goodwill & Brand Ambassadors for our country.”
He added, “You are all an inspiration and we are grateful for what you all have done and continue to do to advance Brand Saint Lucia!”
