(PRESS RELEASE) – Employees within the National Workers Union (NWU) Bargaining Unit at St. Jude Hospital are patiently awaiting government approval to be paid the $800 lump sum before Christmas 2019.
This arrangement was contained in a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Government Negotiating Team (GNT) and the National Workers Union a couple weeks ago.
The NWU has officially conveyed to those in authority the sentiments of the workers at St. Jude Hospital.
The leadership of the NWU is of the opinion that tension among the employees has reached fever pitch and those in authority would have to blame themselves for any fall-out if these workers are not paid that $800 pre-Christmas.
