PRESS RELEASE – The Management of Spinnakers St. Lucia Ltd. and officials from the National Workers Union (NWU) met at the Department of Labour today Thursday August 18, 2016 to affix signatures to a new industrial agreement.
The new pact is as a result of many meetings between the NWU and the company.
Over thirty-five (35) workers employed with Spinnakers Restaurant and Beach Bar at its Reduit Beach facility will now benefit from the contract. Workers will receive a seven percent (7%) general wage increase spread over a three (3) year duration. Retroactive payments will be effective from March 2014.
This new industrial accord also makes provision for new processes that would shape productivity and efficiency.
