PRESS RELEASE – On Tuesday 31st May, 2016 Celestial Self Development Centre will be hosting a report session for the recently held FranklinCovey’s “The five Choices to Extraordinary Productivity” 2 day workshop.
This workshop was held on March 16thand 17th, 2016 and was attended by twenty four (24) participants consisting of persons from various sectors across the island, both the public and private sector was represented.
In a six-year FranklinCovey study, 351,613 respondents indicated that more than 40 percent of their time was being spent on activities that were not important either to themselves or to their organization. During this workshop participants had the opportunity to learn the two primary factors which can be attributed to this lack of productivity:
- The second-by-second battle for our attention and the draining demands on our personal energy, resulting from the constant, streaming flow of decisions with which we are presented;
- The failure to consciously and proactively choose what is most important and use that as the primary filter for navigating through the never-ending demands for our attention.
The combination of these factors has a significant impact on how accomplished or how buried alive we feel on any day, not only at work, but at home and in our community. To provide a solution, FranklinCovey drew on the latest brain science, technology and performance psychology research to develop The 5 Choices to Extraordinary Productivity workshops.
The objective of this workshop was to measurably increase the productivity of individuals, teams and organizations. The 5 Choices is the process by which participants acquire the skills of decision, attention, and energy management to make high value choices amidst 21st century distractions and demands.
The report session on Tuesday is the final part of the 5 Choices to Extraordinary Productivity process, where participants will be given the opportunity to calibrate both success in the implementation process as well as identify adjustments needing to be made to accelerate success.
The 5 Choices to Extraordinary Productivity is available to the general public, facilitated in an interactive two-day workshop and will be held again on June 27th and 28th, 2016.
