PRESS RELEASE - The Management of St. Jude Hospital has agreed to the National Workers Union’s (NWU) request for another meeting.
The Hospital’s Management in its letter to the NWU dated June 11, 2015 has suggested Monday June 15, 2015 at 11.00 a.m. for the urgent meeting.
The letter went on to state that Mr. Percival McDonald, Chairman of the Board of Directors of St. Jude Hospital will attend the meeting.
The NWU has agreed to the date for the meeting which will take place at the Conference Room of the Hospital. Both parties have conveyed their wishes to have this industrial impasse amicably resolved.
Meanwhile, NWU officials will be meeting with Shop Stewards from Victoria Hospital and Tapion Hospital to inform them of the status of the impasse. The NWU is the bargaining agent for workers at both health institutions.
