PRESS RELEASE - Negotiations between the Management of Minvielle & Chastanet Group of Companies and the National Workers Union (NWU) have been satisfactorily completed.
Over three hundred (300) workers employed with the company will benefit from the new industrial package.
The company and the NWU agreed that workers earning a maximum of $1499.00 will receive a seven percent (7%) general wage increase, while those earning a maximum of $2499.00 will receive six percent (6%) increase.
The new industrial accord will run for a three (3) year period during which the NWU will not disrupt existing fringe benefits. The parties are to meet shortly to affix signatures to this industrial agreement.
