PRESS RELEASE - The Caribbean’s leading retailers of the most comfortable and affordable “Bedding” products Courts, has announced plans to undertake an initiative which is geared towards raising funds for the Child Development and Guidance Centre.
This announcement was made at a short press conference held on the premises of the centre on Friday May 15th by the company’s OECS Commercial Director responsible for furniture, Mrs Lorraine Sidonie.
The centre, which is located in La Pansee Castries, is a non-profitable organization established in St. Lucia in 1998. The Child Development and Guidance Centre functions as the only multi-disciplinary developmental assessment centre in St. Lucia and has catered to the needs of over 1000 children.
Children enrolled at the centre can benefit from Comprehensive Developmental Assessment, Early Intervention, Physiotherapy, Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy. As a non-profit organization, the centre’s mission to provide invaluable service to the nations’ children does not come without its challenges, financial and otherwise.
Courts, after getting in contact with the centre, formulated a plan in collaboration with its customers that will generate direct financial assistance for the centre.
The company, through their recently launched “Sweet Retreat” campaign which features a wide range of beautiful and affordable Bedding products will donate $20 of the sale of any “Bedding” product to the centre. A minimum of $7000 has been guaranteed by Courts to be the least amount to be donated to the centre.
The official handover ceremony will be held at the end of the promotion where the actual value of the donation and contributions by Courts customers will be unveiled.
Courts St. Lucia and the Child Development and Guidance Centre wishes to extend sincere appreciation to Courts customers who have supported or will be supporting this initiative. Together, we will all play a part in developing the potential of our nation’s children.
