An aquarium with a great restaurant.

PRESS RELEASE - Mango Beach Inn and Rainforest Hideaway Restaurant on the north side of Marigot have both been welcomed by Trip Advisor into its “Hall of Fame”.

This unique accolade is granted only to those businesses that have won the Certificate of Excellence for five years in a row.

HUNDREDS OF RAVE REVIEWS

Owner John Verity is delighted with this new accolade: Rainforest Hideaway has twice been listed by Trip Advisor as “One of the Top Ten Fine Dining Restaurants in the Caribbean”, he says “and both our restaurant and our guesthouse have received a Certificate of Excellence every year. Keeping up standards is hard work, but literally hundreds of great reviews on Trip Advisor means that our guests and diners are speaking up on our behalf.”

A GOURMET GETAWAY FOR LOCAL GUESTS

This winter has been a very busy one with a lot of tourists visiting Marigot – always a popular beauty spot and now gaining a reputation as a gourmet location. But throughout the year, including the summer, we welcome more and local guests and diners. Rainforest Hideaway has been open for eleven years now and some of the original team, including Manager, Jean Rene Du Boulay, are still here. “I helped drive in the piles to build this restaurant out over the water” says Jean Rene “and over the years I have been working with a great team to consistently raise standards and create a beautiful place with fabulous food. It’s great to know that Rainforest is regarded as the place to come for a romantic evening, an anniversary or family celebration and, if you don’t want to drive home, Mango Beach Inn is only a few steps away.”

JOINING IN THE JAZZ

Rainforest Hideaway is also well known as a live jazz venue with some of the top local artistes such as Jab Duplessis, Allison Marquis, Emerson Nurse and the Empress Ila and Zack Popo performing four nights each week throughout the year. This year, Rainforest actually became part of the official St Lucia Jazz programme with a full seven nights of jazz including a highlight performance by a jazz quintet from the St Lucia School of Music to raise funds for the school.
