PRESS RELEASE - Appleton Estate 21 Arts Café, founded by Ms. Sherrie Alcee and exclusively sponsored by Appleton Estate Jamaica Rum, officially invites artists to apply to participate in their official launching ceremony in June 2015.
The launching ceremony will allow local artists a firsthand experience in exhibiting their collections and performing at a sophisticated venue located on the corner of Coral and St. Louis Street, Castries in the Aquarius Crossing Building. Interested artistes are asked to submit applications by Friday May 29th.
Ms. Alcee explained the reason behind the concept: “We are inviting interested Artists of all genres who have long anticipated such an opportunity and a venue to display their work and perform their master piece before a live audience.
The Appleton Estate 21 Arts Café provides Artists with a Museum Gift Shop to display and sell their creative designs, a Café for literary arts performance and a Rooftop Lounge for live performances of music and theatre arts. As an artist myself I see the demand for a project of this caliber, knowing that St. Lucia has a lot of talented Artists but nowhere to actually socialize, share ideas and display their creativity; hence the idea was born and Appleton Estate Jamaica Rum made it all possible.”
Accompanied with all these opportunities for Artists the Appleton Estate 21 Arts Café provides a friendly, comfortable environment with a panoramic view of Castries for Art Lovers, Tourists, locals and Artists. The Appleton Estate Range of rums which complements the café’s menu will complete the memorable experience for patrons.
“We are proud to be the first rooftop establishment in St. Lucia and foresee more creative ideas evolving from the Team. The Appleton Estate 21 Arts Café gives all professional and amateur Artists a platform to voice their talent and share their life changing stories with others as they unveil their inner passion for the Arts. Our Mission is to promote the advancement of Artists globally and create a home for ingeniously inspired individuals in a relaxing atmosphere. I am elated that this vision is finally coming to fruition. The Appleton Estate 21 Arts Café is a trendsetter for the Caribbean region showing true appreciation and love for Artists.” Said Ms Alcee
Artists are asked to book for the following: Exhibition and shelf Space in the Museum Gift Shop, Performance for the Official opening ceremony, Performance for the Sunset Acoustic Session or Guest appearance on Appleton Estate 21 live @ the Arts Café TV Show.
