Chamber of Commerce to host first executive luncheon

PRESS RELEASE - The St. Lucia Chamber of Commerce Industry and Agriculture will be hosting its first Executive Luncheon for 2015 at the Coco Palm Resorts- Rodney Bay on Wednesday April 22nd 2015.

The speaker is Mr. Grady Clarke, CEO of the Caribbean Credit Bureau who has been running a successful Credit Bureau in Barbados and the Caribbean for over 20 years.

Grady has extensive experience in the Banking and Finance sector and will provide valuable insight and information to the private sector on establishing a successful Credit Bureau in St. Lucia and the impact of the proposed Harmonized Credit Reporting Bill being contemplated.

Mr. Clarke’s presentation will highlight the importance of Credit Bureaus; the roles they can play to increase access to credit and how they help make credit profitable; and some of the implications for credit information providers.

The Caribbean Credit Bureau Barbados Ltd had joined the St. Lucia Chamber of Commerce in establishing a Credit Bureau in St. Lucia in the late 1990s and he will speak to the plans to start operations.

Mr. Clarke will also highlight to attendees some of the most important provisions of the OECS Model Harmonised Credit Reporting Bill.

The St. Lucia Chamber invites the entire Business Community to participate in a meaningful informative discourse over lunch at Coco Palm Resorts-Rodney Bay on April 22nd 2015 from 12:30 p.m.
