PRESS RELEASE - CIBC FirstCaribbean has joined a number of corporate entities in support of the National Community Foundation’s (NCF) annual fundraising telethon.
The annual fundraising event is in its 11th year of making a difference in communities island-wide through empowerment and social improvements.
Country Manager, Ladesa James-Williams noted, “Our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility is important to the foundation of CIBC FirstCaribbean.”
“It is our philosophy to support not only educational and youth programmes, but organisations that support the wider community as well. The NCF is one such entitythat has made a consistent positive impact in our society, since its establishment in 1979, and so it is a natural fit to lend our support.”
This year the NCF has set the goal of raising $250,000 in donations which will positively impact a wide cross-section of socially disadvantaged persons including youth at risk, the elderly, and underprivileged children who will benefit from scholarship programmes, the homeless, persons with disabilities, as well as persons with serious medical conditions.
