(PRESS RELEASE) – The Chamber will host its third engagement focused on Southern Business Community for this year on March 5th 2020.

“Conversation on Services to the South” is Chamber led initiative which attempts to address the poor quality of public services affecting business operations in the south of the island. The panel includes representatives from Invest St. Lucia, LUCELEC, SLASPA and WASCO.

This concerned was identified, as a major issue affecting the Southern Community at one of the Chamber’s more successful engagements conducted last May. The intensification of Chamber engagements to the South of the island, is a direct offshoot from the Chamber’s continued promise to deliver on its’ commitment to strengthen its membership base and provide relevant services to members island wide. These are key elements of the Chamber’s Strategic plan which reinforces the important principle of ‘inclusiveness’.

The discussion will take the format of an Executive Luncheon which will be held on March 5th 2020 from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm at the Bougainvillea Conference Room Coconut Bay Beach resort and Spa. Conversations such as these are crucial in ensuring service providers are aware of the concerns being expressed by members and moreover, that the service providers have an opportunity to outline the work they have done, are doing or intend to do to alleviate the situation in the South of Saint Lucia

Considering the importance of this dialogue, The Chamber is extending an invitation to all members of the Southern Business Community and will accommodate the first 50 registrants of the Southern Business Community on a complementary basis. This approach is intended to accommodate the much needed active participation from members of the Southern Community.

Registration details for Executive Luncheon Conversation on Services to the South scheduled for March 5th 2020 can be sourced through the Chamber Secretariat via info@stluciachamber.org or telephone: 452- 3165.
