Scotiabank regional officials meet NWU

(PRESS RELEASE) — Regional industrial relations officials from Scotiabank met with the leadership and shop stewards of the National Workers Union (NWU) this week.

The meeting, which was held at the Coco Palm Hotel, discussed National Workers Union proposals and the future of its employees and banking operations.

Coming out of that meeting were the following: the NWU has called for the bank to pay all merit Increases due
to employees with a retroactive effect, going forward all employees within the NWU Bargaining Unit and
other workers should be absorbed, the parties should make every effort to complete current negotiations, and all customary benefits must be maintained and continued.

The parties agreed that the officials will further consult with their superiors and come back to the National Workers Union no later than one week.
