Stratosphere Muzic and the Youth Development and Empowerment Programme (YDEP) have teamed up to spread Christmas joy at the Gros-Islet pre-school.
Today, artistes from the Saint Lucian music label including Ricky T, Mongstar, Marie-Anne and Scady Dot P will perform for the 42 students currently enrolled at the school.
At the event, the young charges will also be treated to cupcakes from Mama John as well as gifts from Santa and his elves.
This is the third annual Christmas party YDEP has held at the school.
The group of seven Gros-Islet youth has a truly special and established bond with the institution that serves mostly underprivileged children. In fact, their efforts kept the doors of the school opened when it was faced with closure due to the inability of parents to pay school fees.
YDEP President Anya Charles says her organisation, whose motto is ‘For You, For the Future’, wants to ensure all young people have an avenue to success.
