(PRESS RELEASE VIA SNO) – On Friday September 7th, 2018 the Ministry of Equity, Social Justice Empowerment, Youth Development, Sports, Culture and Local Government hosted a National Stakeholders Consultation to review the Faith Based Policy.

The consultation was held at the Financial Centre Administrative Building Pointe Seraphine.

Faith Based Officer Mr. Eulampius Frederick stated that one of the reasons for having this consultation was to select an Advisory Committee, with responsibility for regulating collaboration between churches and Faith Based Organization.

“One of the main purpose of this meeting today is to select representatives to sit on a nine (9) member policy advisory committee. It also provides a forum to hear of the various issues that surround the old policy and coming out of this meeting we want to know what needs to be revised in the new policy document.”

The agenda for the consultation included presentations by Labour Department, Registry of Companies and the Registry of Civil Status.

The Cabinet Conclusion of June 2010 approved the adoption of the Faith Based Policy.
