Teacher Helping Pupils Studying At Desks In Classroom
PRESS RELEASE – Flow continues to deepen its public sector and community relationships and work towards fulfilling its mission of ‘Connecting Communities and Transforming Lives.’
The company has announced a collaboration with the Curriculum and Materials Development Unit in the Ministry of Education, Innovation, Gender Relations and Sustainable Development, in support of the 2017 edition of the Technology Integration Teacher Training Programme.
Over 200 educators, including teachers, principals and other education professionals from public and private schools around the island, are expected to be enrolled in the programme. The online training component of the programme has already began and is being facilitated by the Organisation of the American States’ Educational Portal of the Americas.
Participants will be engaged in a series of online courses that include a six-week course in virtual tutoring, a five-week course in Leadership in Management of Innovation in Education, an eight-week course in Project Based Approaches and and another eight-week course in Collaboration in the Digital Classroom. A series of workshops on the use of the Google Classroom E-Learning platform in schools will get underway from March 17 at the UWI Open Campus, Morne Fortune.
