PRESS RELEASE – Courts; the islands leading retailer of the world’s best – brands has officially began preparations for its’ annual charity drive dubbed “Wish List.” This year the company has committed to donations valued at approximately twenty thousand EC dollars’ to deserving persons Island wide.
The Courts Wish List initiative was officially launched in 2010 with one primary focus; improving the lives of persons directly affected by Hurricane Tomas here in St. Lucia. More than thirty persons benefitted from the venture that year receiving brand new cookers, fridges and sofas with the majority receiving beds and mattresses.
This exercise is a true testament to the company’s continued commitment to corporate social responsibility initiatives.
This year’s campaign was launched under the theme “What Matters Most” and the public is invited to participate in this year’s Courts Christmas Wish List by submitting nominations which will help identify the needs within the various communities’ island wide.
Nominations must be made on behalf of someone else and should include the following information;
Name and contact information of person making the nomination
Name of nominee
Address
Situation/backstory
Item being requested
The deadline for nominations is Thursday December 15th 2016. Once nominations are closed a review and verification process will be completed. The persons who made the nominations will be contacted by our verification committee prior to the delivery date. A team, made up of Courts employees and other stakeholders are scheduled to conduct deliveries of the products to this year’s wish list recipients on Sunday 18th December 2016.
Persons are encouraged to submit their nominations via email to Courts at StLuciaCourtsGoodNews@unicomer.com written requests may also be dropped off at any Courts branch.
It is always better to give than to receive, so be on the lookout for the Court Wish List delivery team, who will come together once more as we focus on “What Matters Most” this season.
