PRESS RELEASE – Keebees was the scene of thrills and excitement as Flow, official broadcast partners of the Rio 2016 Olympics Games, rang in the start of the Olympics with an exclusive viewing party for its customers, allowing them to view the opening ceremony live and in living colour.

The event was a grand occasion with an audience comprising of dozens of Flow customers and a number of specially invited guests, including members of the diplomatic corps in St. Lucia and many from the local sporting community. This was their chance to experiencing the magic of the opening ceremony for the world’s most anticipated sporting event, together with Olympic fans in Brazil and around the globe. They did so in style on large-screen high-definition TVs, in a fun-filled, party atmosphere.

Flow treated its guests to eats and drinks and they also got the chance to win prizes. There was singing and dancing and everyone got into the Olympic spirit. Their joy and excitement mirrored the passion of the kickoff celebrations in Brazil, and this set the tone for the entire Olympic Games.

Everyone agreed that it was a wonderful experience. Flow won kudos for hosting the event and bringing the excitement of Rio home to fans in St. Lucia.

“As always, it was a pleasure to create this exclusive opportunity for our customers,” said Flow St. Lucia’s Marketing & Communications Executive, Shermalyn Sidonie John. “Although we couldn’t accommodate everyone who wished to attend, we did our best to ensure that those who did really enjoyed themselves. There are few events that can unite the world like the Olympics. The Flow Olympic viewing party gave us another opportunity to bring people and communities together in the true spirit of the Olympics, and to transform the total Olympic experience for our customers, so they can experience the Games like never before,” said Ms Sidonie John.

Flow is broadcasting the Games in HD across the region on Flow Sports, as well as on up to three additional HD channels.

Flow customers can also access the Games via the innovative Flow Rio 2016 Extra app that gives them access to every Olympic event at their fingertips, and on the go.
