Rubis signs industrial agreement with NWU

PRESS RELEASE – The Management of Rubis West Indies Ltd and representatives from the National Workers Union (NWU) met at the Department of Labour today June 3, 2016.

The purpose of the meeting was to affix signatures to the first industrial agreement between the petroleum distributing company and the National Workers Union.

Workers will now benefit from a seven percent (7%) general wage increase, a regime of new fringe concessions and retroactive pay.

The industrial agreement will run for a three (3) year period and is designed to establish a measurable level of standardization among workers in that sector. The NWU already represents workers employed with another company operating in the said sector.

Meanwhile the National Workers Union has received two recognition certificates to represent workers employed with Sentinel Security Service and Ferrands Food Products.
