aa1aabd0-9195-4309-a983-e73445f89a99PRESS RELEASE – Flow has congratulated the St. Lucia Tourist Board on the staging of yet another successful St. Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival.

The SLTB has confirmed that there were record attendances on each night of the main stage events and ticket sales exceeded those of previous years.

Flow was the festival’s official telecommunications provider, responsible for providing mobile services, digital video services, broadband and WIFI services, closes circuit video surveillance services, landline service to the main-stage events, all services pivotal to the success of the event.  We are also extremely proud of the fact that we provided advertising services for the festival to over 400 000 households around the Caribbean, plus live broadcast of various components of the festival inclusive of Saturday night show to Jamaica, Trinidad, St. Vincent, Grenada, Barbados and Antigua.

The glorious blue of the company’s new and refreshed brand was visible all over the grounds of the Pigeon Island’s National Landmark as Flow joined with the St. Lucia Tourist Board and the patrons in celebrating yet another blockbuster Arts and Jazz Fest.

“It was a delightful experience to be partnering with the St. Lucia Tourist Board for this year’s festival!” said marketing representative Shermalyn Sidonie-John. “The fact that patrons came out in such large numbers shows that our partnership with the SLTB made a difference. The SLTB must be commended for a job well done! We are happy to have been part of the process to help to showcase local, regional and international talent that was truly amazing.”

Flow officially powered the Festival’s business offices, press room, production centre and the backstage area with its superfast broadband service. Visiting and local journalists along with the producers and organizers all benefitted from the ease and speed of data connection and the internet capacity at the park. This made their work a whole lot easier.

Patrons of the shows also enjoyed Flow’s blazing internet speed via WiFi, which was available at various locations at the venue. They were able to connect with mobile devices as soon as they entered the park.

“We can proudly say that Flow’s investment in this event helped to enhance overall communications at the festival.  We have helped to showcase St. Lucia as a primary destination to host events of this magnitude.

We are in the social media era and broadband is critical at such events. Patrons were able to take photos and videos and post them on social media to share their experience with friends and family,” Ms Sidonie-John added.

Cable & Wireless was an original corporate sponsor of the Jazz Festival and has played a major role in its development since its inception in 1992.
