PRESS RELEASE – In an effort to help communities prosper, RBC Royal Bank through its Employee Resource Groups has embarked on a programme to make a difference in the communities we serve through sharing and caring for those in need.
Entitled RBC Cares About You, the bank joined forces and resources to make up care packages and distribute them to homes and shelters for children, the elderly and women.
Partnering with CARITAS, a community based organisation of Gros Islet, RBC employees spearhead efforts to collect donated items form colleagues and prepare hampers, which were presented to members of the community in need of assistance. “It was gratifying to see the appreciation on people’s faces when they received items and we are indeed grateful that we could assist in sharing much-need supplies,” said Sandra Fontenelle, Country Manager of RBC.
Additionally, a family of five in Sarrot also received a care package coming out of the efforts of the Bank.
In reaffirming its commitment to the community, RBC Royal Bank noted “We believe there are growing needs in our communities and we want to make a difference and get involved for the benefit of the communities in which we operate.”
