PRESS RELEASE – On Thursday 18th December 2015, the Villa St. Joseph Home for the Elderly hosted its Annual Resident & Staff Appreciation ceremony. During the ceremony residents, staff and their families were treated to delightful Christmas music by a popular local band.
A number of staff were also rewarded for their service to the Villa St. Joseph Home. Ms. Aurea Granderson received an award for providing twenty-four (24) years of service to the Home. In receiving her award she said “I am very pleased to receive this award. The job is not always easy but I am grateful to be able to make a difference.” Other staff members receiving awards were: Ms. Cecilia Felix (16 years), Ms. Estephanie Aimable (15 years) and Ms. Florence Biscette (5 years).
During the ceremony the Home also held the Draw for its Fundraising raffle. The winners of the prizes were:
1st Prize – Kazia Arthur (Tablet)
2nd Prize– Toria Placide (Dinner for two)
3rd Prize– Elizabeth George (Bicycle)
4th Prize– Janella Henry (Cellphone)
5th Prize– Armani McDiaimed (450 W Blender)
6th Prize- Darwin Louis (3 Cases of Piton Malta)
7th Prize- Noelissa Biscette (2 Cases of Piton Malta)
8th Prize– Demetrius Jones (Christmas Fruitcake)
