PRESS RELEASE – ECFH Global Investment Solutions (Global Investments), investment arm of the ECFH Group, is set to host the first in a series of seminars aimed at providing relevant, timely information to assist individuals and institutions in making sound financial decisions.
The first seminar which targets business corporations and institutions will be held under the theme “Alternative Financing for Business Corporations.” Topics to be covered include syndicated offerings, bond and equity financing, and alternative structures.
This is based on the rationale that in the region, business and corporations typically turn to banking institutions to raise funds to facilitate expansion strategies. While traditional forms of financing serve the needs of the populace well, there are alternative financing options available for this purpose.
The guest speaker, Mr. Allan Lewis, is the Chairman of the Jamaica Stock Exchange; and Senior Vice President – Group Strategy of the Victoria Mutual Group Limited; a position he has held for the last seven years. Mr. Lewis has a wealth of experience in pension fund risk management, asset management, strategic planning and life insurance. He is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries and holds a Masters in Business Administration.
The hosting of this seminar series, forms part of the Corporate Social Responsibility mandate of Global Investments and the wider ECFH Group – to empower and educate the populace to financial matters. Sister subsidiary, Bank of Saint Lucia was the recent recipient of the ECCB Good Corporate Citizen Award for its ongoing financial literacy efforts.
